Gasgoo Munich- Avatr announced late on Oct. 28 that it has canceled the online launch event for the Avatr 07L Max battery-electric model originally scheduled for the following day, though the vehicle's release will proceed as planned.

"We can skip the launch event, but we won't shortchange buyers on substance," the company said. Avatr called off the dedicated event after extensive internal deliberations over specifications, actual user needs, and pricing — aiming to land on a sticker price better aligned with market realities.
On Oct. 29, Avatr will unveil the 07L Max EV's official pricing, full specifications, and launch incentives right on schedule. Breaking with convention, the brand will also release footage of an internal meeting to pull back the curtain on how the pricing decision was made — giving consumers a look at the reasoning behind the numbers.
Addressing questions about the last-minute cancellation, Avatr Vice President Yong Jun said the team has been gathering user feedback on specs and pricing since the standard 07L debuted — with the goal of making the brand's luxury vehicles accessible to a broader audience.
Automakers typically rely on flashy online events, stages, and slide decks to unveil new models. Avatr, by contrast, is ditching the pageantry to answer buyers' demands directly with pricing and specs, championing a philosophy that "luxury shouldn't just be about prestige — it should also have warmth."
Scrapping a dedicated launch event so close to a rollout is rare in China's new-energy vehicle sector. By dialing back the marketing spectacle to focus on refining pricing and specifications, Avatr is making a fresh attempt to prove it's actually listening to what buyers want.
