Gasgoo Munich- BAIC ARCFOX officially launched the Beta S3, a new all-electric midsize sedan, on May 22. Company data shows the model secured over 10,000 firm orders within two hours of its debut.

The Beta S3 debuts in eight configurations, offering a choice between charging and battery-swapping powertrains. Pricing for the charging models ranges from 79,800 yuan to 120,800 yuan. The battery-swapping variant, which separates the battery from the chassis, starts at 59,800 yuan for the body, with monthly battery fees between 399 yuan and 599 yuan.
Measuring 4,916 mm long, 1,900 mm wide, and 1,480 mm tall, the Beta S3 rides on a 2,876 mm wheelbase. The charging models offer three CLTC range options—460 km, 560 km, and 660 km—while the battery-swapping version provides 535 km. That variant leverages swapping technology co-developed with CATL, claiming a battery swap time as fast as 99 seconds.
Standard equipment includes a 15.6-inch floating central screen and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip. Top-tier trims add a 192-line LiDAR, supporting navigation-assisted driving on highways and city streets. The car also features an active rear wing, front seats that fold fully flat, and seven exterior color options.
Deliveries have already begun across the country.
