Gasgoo.com (Shanghai September 6) - BAIC Motor made its first independent appearance at the Chengdu Motor Show this year. At the event, BAIC Group Chief Engineer and BAIC Motor Holding Group Vice President Gao Weimin announced that that the manufacturer will be cooperating with Mercedes-Benz Technology, the Beijing Times reported today.
According to Mr. Gao, BAIC and MBtech have already signed a strategic cooperation agreement. MBtech will conduct research, concept design, engineering and market analysis work for BAIC Motor.
MBtech employs over 2,900 engineers and consultants. The firm possesses offices in China. According to reports, the agreement between BAIC and MBtech will influence the future of joint ventures and technology transfer rights in China.
