"BAIC developed model badged with "Beijing" will debut at the Beijing International Auto Show in April next year." Beijing Auto Chairman Xu Heyi disclosed recently. By then, BAIC will have a full series of self brands including commercial vehicle Ouman, Ou V brands, as well as Luba and Qishi and other SUV brands.
Beijing Auto official said that currently Beijing Auto Industry Group BJ130 commercial vehicles have been already badged with "Beijing".
In addition to a research and development center with investment up to 510 million yuan, which is set up in February this year, Beijing Auto Group will set up a research institute on the 26th of May, this will enrich the Group technology content and improve its market competitiveness. BAIC said that according to the "11th Five-Year Plan", self developed models sales in the segment of SUV, commercial vehicle and sedan will account for 60% of its total sales.
