Gasgoo Munich- Gasgoo has learned that BASF and Sevnce Robotics officially signed a memorandum of understanding in Shanghai on April 2. The two parties will deepen collaboration on the integration of the robotics and chemical materials industries, working together to promote the intelligent transformation and sustainable development of the chemical sector.

According to the memorandum, the partners will jointly explore the application of Sevnce Robotics' products and intelligent inspection solutions at BASF sites. This initiative aims to support digitalization and automation in the chemical industry, with a particular focus on safety-critical application scenarios.
The collaboration will also focus on material innovation for core robot components. Drawing on BASF's extensive expertise in engineering plastics, thermoplastic polyurethanes, and polyurethane systems, the two companies will explore the potential of material technology in the lightweight design of quadruped and humanoid robots. Continuous breakthroughs in material performance will provide strong support for the optimization and iterative upgrading of robotic products.
Lou Jianfeng, Chairman and President of BASF Greater China, stated that the partnership will center on the digital transformation of the chemical industry and safety production scenarios. By driving material innovation for core robot components, the companies aim to enhance the safety and lightweighting of robotic solutions, thereby expanding their application fields and market space.
Zhu Dong, Chairman of Sevnce Robotics, said the company will promote the large-scale deployment of its intelligent inspection solutions across BASF's global bases. By combining their respective technological and material advantages, the partners will explore the integration of new materials and smart equipment to empower high-quality industrial upgrades.
