On Aug 6, BMW Brillance has a ceremony for new engineer plant foundation laying at Tiexi District of Shenyang. New engineer plant will take principle of “plan integrated, implement gradually”. The first phrase will start in 2013, and goes into operation in 2016. The plant will produce the most advance engineer of BMW, and has 400 thousand annual production.
The new engineer plant is just at the opposite side facing BMW Brilliance Tiexi plant. It is a very important part of integrated strategy for BMW Brilliance. As a new streamline factory, it has casting workshop, machining workshop (cylinder processing, crankshafts processing, cylinder head processing) and engine assembly workshop and other production facilities and related infrastructure. In future, all key parts of engineer, include cylinder body and head, will be made in China.
BMW Brilliance will have the first foundry workshop of BMW out of German, and it is the second foundry workshop of BMW around the world.
