BYD is preparing to open its second R&D center at Shenzhen.
BYD's existing R&D center at Shanghai, with a total staff of 5,000, has successfully developed the mid-range sedan F3, F3 hatchback as well as the world leading mid-high range sedan F6 and coupe F8.
BYD sales in 2006 hit 60,000 units, an increase of 600%; BYD hopes to reach a sales target of 150,000 units, which is promoted by competitive research and development capability.
BYD F3 hatchback, F6 and F8 will go in sale successively this year.
