Under the agreement, CAIT-SH will supply its Bedrock integrated smart chassis lineup. Featuring a highly integrated design that combines the battery, electric drive, thermal management, and chassis domain controller, the system significantly boosts efficiency in both battery-to-chassis integration and energy conversion. By decoupling the upper and lower vehicle bodies, the chassis supports parallel development of the body space and intelligent driving systems, shortening the overall vehicle development cycle.
Horizon Robotics will contribute its full-scenario assisted driving solutions, including algorithms, automotive-grade domain controllers, and supporting hardware. The company is currently the first Chinese supplier to ship over 10 million intelligent driving chips, with products deployed in vehicles across 42 brands owned by 27 automakers. Its latest mass-produced one-shot end-to-end system, Horizon Super Drive, will also be integrated into the partnership's technology framework.
Fundamentally, the partnership marks a deep integration of an intelligent chassis platform and advanced driving systems. By leveraging software-hardware synergy and cross-domain integration, the two companies are conducting a full-stack consolidation—from underlying architecture to application layers—designed to offer OEMs solutions that are both more competitive and flexible.
As the smart EV market enters its second half, the convergence of intelligent chassis and driving technologies has become a definitive industry trend. The alliance between CAIT-SH and Horizon Robotics offers a full-stack collaboration model spanning from "load-bearing platforms" to "perception and decision-making," further accelerating the development of an open smart vehicle ecosystem.
