Gasgoo Munich- CATL's subsidiary Contemporary Amperex Intelligence Technology, a provider of integrated smart chassis technology, has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with Indonesia Battery Corporation (IBC) and other partners in Jakarta. The alliance aims to explore local EV development and cooperation models in Indonesia built around the integrated smart chassis.

Under the agreement, the partnership will center on Contemporary Amperex Intelligence Technology 's "Integrated Smart Chassis Platform." This architecture consolidates core technologies—battery systems, electric drive, thermal management, and smart chassis domain controllers—into a high-performance, highly integrated base for vehicle manufacturing. Meanwhile, the Indonesian partners will leverage local resources to spearhead the localized production and operation of the co-developed models, ensuring the project moves from paper to reality.
The deal marks a key step in Contemporary Amperex Intelligence Technology 's "1+1+1" global localization strategy, which combines tech support, local partnerships, and joint operations to build new-energy vehicle ecosystems worldwide. For Indonesia, the collaboration is expected to compress EV development cycles and drive coordinated growth across manufacturing and sales. It also supports the country's broader push to build a complete local NEV supply chain and foster homegrown brands.
