Backed by the dual Snapdragon automotive platforms (Premium Edition), the central domain controller consolidates formerly separate domains—intelligent cockpit, driver assistance, body control and the in-vehicle gateway—into a single high-performance system. Its dual-chipset configuration integrates the Qualcomm Oryon™ CPU, Qualcomm® Adreno™ GPU and Qualcomm® Hexagon™ NPU. This allows a full-modality AI foundation model for the cockpit to run alongside a VLA multimodal model for driver assistance. It provides compute for real-time coordination and emerging AI agent workloads.

At the system level, the platform supports up to 8 3K/4K high-definition displays and 18 audio channels. It offers seamless OTA updates and remote diagnostics. Its service-oriented architecture (SOA) provides more than 200 modular capabilities, enabling user-customized experiences. For driver assistance, the system ingests 13 camera feeds and works with lidar, millimeter-wave radar, ultrasonic sensors and other modalities. It enables Level 2 assistance and more than 30 advanced functions, including park-to-park (P2P) navigation.

The Snapdragon Cockpit Platform Premium Edition and the Snapdragon Ride Platform Premium Edition are flagship offerings within the Snapdragon® Digital Chassis™ portfolio. With flexible hardware and software virtualization, the platform runs multiple applications efficiently. It helps automakers build configurable, scalable software-defined vehicles across all segments while simplifying vehicle architectures.

Leapmotor founder Zhu Jiangming said mass production of the central domain controller based on the dual Snapdragon automotive platforms (Premium Edition) will drive an intelligent upgrade of the company's vehicle architecture. Qualcomm Technologies executive Nakul Duggal said the collaboration highlights the value of deep integration between chipmakers and automakers, offering the industry a scalable blueprint for the shift to central computing and software-defined vehicles.
