Shanghai (Gasgoo)- At CES 2026, MagicLab unveiled its high-dynamics bipedal humanoid MagicBot Z1, the full-size general-purpose bipedal humanoid MagicBot Gen1, and the head–tail coordinated quadruped MagicDog.
MagicLab was founded in January 2024, focusing on embodied intelligence and the R&D, production and commercialization of general-purpose humanoid robots. The company has built a fully self-developed hardware–software stack — including joint modules, dexterous hands, reducers and drives — and holds advantages in algorithms for motion control, navigation, multimodal perception and embodied manipulation.

Building on these technologies, MagicLab has rolled out multiple products: the consumer-grade quadruped MagicDog, the wheel-based quadruped MagicDog W, the industrial-grade quadruped MagicDog Y1, and the high-dynamics bipedal humanoid MagicBot Z1. The lineup spans multi-size general-purpose humanoids and quadrupeds, and has entered mass production with deliveries underway.
Introduced in July 2025, MagicBot Z1 is a new humanoid that stands 1.4 meters tall, packs 50 biomimetic joints and a 320° range of motion, enabling highly dynamic movement. It supports intelligent interaction, delivers 360° sensing plus autonomous navigation, and enables multimodal dialogue — aiming at use cases across research and education, commercial services, industrial operations and home companionship.
Positioned as the performance powerhouse in MagicLab's lineup, MagicDog W adopts an innovative wheel–leg hybrid locomotion mode. It can easily handle stairs and even climb backward, while reaching a top speed above 3 m/s on a track — combining high-speed agility with strong obstacle-crossing capability.
MagicDog, designed for home companionship and leisure, offers 13 degrees of freedom across its body and uses low-noise, high-torque electric joints, balancing agility with stability.
MagicLab said recently that since sales began in May 2025, it has secured RMB 500 million in letters of intent within six months, with firm orders totaling RMB 130 million. Meanwhile, through its "Thousand-Scenario Co-Creation" strategy, the company has partnered with more than 100 organizations worldwide on PoC proof-of-concept validation and real-world pilots.
