According to the companies, their collaboration spans more than six years. They have long worked on industry-leading perception solutions and jointly pushed large-scale deployments of intelligent driving across multiple scenarios — from autonomous mining trucks and driverless logistics vehicles in smart parks to smart buses and V2X.

Building on RoboSense's advances in digital lidar and CIDI's deep expertise in autonomous driving for commercial vehicles, the two sides aim to scale safer, more efficient and smarter autonomous-driving solutions. The goal: boost transport efficiency and operational stability for unmanned mining trucks and driverless logistics vehicles, while enabling intelligent upgrades in mines, closed industrial parks, ports of entry, rail transit and smart cities — bringing tangible benefits to industrial transformation and everyday life.

The companies said CIDI is among the earliest deep-tech firms in China to develop both autonomous driving and vehicle-to-infrastructure technologies and fuse them in real-world applications. It has focused on unmanned mining trucks for years, gaining early operational experience with mass deliveries of all-electric autonomous mining fleets and mixed fleets. As an AI-driven robotics company, RoboSense has formed partnerships with more than 310 automakers and Tier-1 suppliers worldwide, and supplies products and solutions to more than 3,400 robotics and other industrial customers, with business spanning more than 40 countries and regions.

Given the stringent safety and efficiency demands in high-risk, closed environments such as mines, ports and industrial parks, autonomous commercial vehicles have become essential. The companies called CES a key bellwether for global tech innovation. Leveraging this moment, RoboSense and CIDI plan to use the partnership as a starting point to deepen technical collaboration, broaden the scope of cooperation and build a more competitive autonomous-driving ecosystem — bringing safer, more efficient intelligent-driving technologies to more industries and accelerating the smart transformation of global transportation.
