Li Shufu, chairman of Geely Automobile Holdings, recently raised his shareholding in Geely to 50.45% from the previous 50.03%, according to the bourse operator Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEx).
Information from HKEx showed that Li bought 30.3 million shares of Geely on Jul. 16 for HK$53.63 million. The average share price of the transaction was HK$1.77 per share.
On Jul.8, Li increased his shareholding in Geely to 50.13%, buying 7.95 million shares of the auto maker at an average price of HK$1.4 apiece.
Shares of Geely, a major domestic auto maker in China, rose 5.32% to end at HK$1.98 on Monday.
