Shanghai, March 18 (Gasgoo.com) Chinese carmaker Changan Automobile will debut its new small car Changan Yuexiang in Chongqing on March 19, Xu Liuping, director of the company was quoted by auto.163.com as saying.
The Yuexiang model then will go on sale across China, priced between 56,800 yuan ($8,300) and 64,800 yuan, said sources.
Designed by the famous European car designer Dambrosio Luciano, Changan Yuexiang will be available in three 1.5L manual models, with comfort, luxury and premium versions, selling for 56,800 yuan, 59,800 yuan and 64,800 yuan respectively.
The Chinese name "Yuexiang" literally means "Happy Flying," which shows that "Yuexiang" drivers could drive the car very happily and fast, sources of Changan auto said.
The automaker also plans to launch the Yuexiang automatic version and all-new hatchback version, according to Xu Liuping.
Changan Yuexiang is Changan's third self-developed model after Benben and Zhixiang.
