Chongqing Changan Automobile Co Ltd said yesterday that it sold 64,992 vehicles in May, on output of 69,161 units.
It said that Changan Ford Mazda Automobile Co Ltd, its joint venture with Ford Motor Co, produced 19,893 vehicles and sold 18,727.
Chongqing Changan Suzuki, its 51 pct-owned joint venture with Suzuki Motor, sold 11,665 vehicles during the month on production of 10,935 units.
Chongqing Changan Automobile, the listed arm of China's fourth-largest automaker Changan Automotive Group, did not provide comparative figures.
