Gasgoo Munich- Changan Automobile (000625) held its third extraordinary shareholders' meeting of 2026 on September 17th to complete the election for its 10th board of directors. Zhu Huarong, Zhao Fei, and Ni Erke were elected as non-independent directors. Yang Xinmin, Tang Guliang, Li Zhenyu, Li Wei, and Gu Yanmin were elected as independent directors, joining employee director Wang Yaohua to form the new board. The first meeting of the 10th board subsequently re-elected Zhu Huarong as chairman.

The board simultaneously solidified a fresh executive lineup, naming Zhao Fei as president. Upon Zhao’s nomination, Ye Pei was appointed Executive Managing Vice President. Yang Dayong, Zhang Xiaoyu, Wang Xiaofei, and Wang Hui were named Executive Vice Presidents. Ni Erke becomes Chief Accountant, while Zhang Fatao, Deng Chenghao, He Gang, Mi Mengdong, Chen Zhuo, Di Zhirui, and Klaus Ziola were appointed Vice Presidents. Mi Mengdong will also serve as Chief Legal Officer and Chief Compliance Officer.
Born in 1965, Zhu is a senior engineer who serves as Party Secretary and Chairman of both Changan Automobile Group and the listed automaker. He has long spearheaded the company's strategic initiatives.
The new management team’s primary mission is to execute Changan's "1445" long-term strategic plan. The automaker aims to reach 4 million in annual sales and production by 2030, with a stretch goal of 5 million, according to previously disclosed targets. The strategy involves streamlining the product matrix to concentrate resources on key global models. Brands under its umbrella—Avatr, Deepal, and Changan—have set specific sales targets to boost the share of new-energy vehicles and expand overseas presence. On the technology front, the company plans to push forward mass production for frontier projects, including L3 and L4 autonomous driving, humanoid robots, and flying cars.
