Beijing (Gasgoo)- On Jan. 7, Changan Automobile issued a public statement, formally responding to online rumors that it had canceled year-end bonuses. The company said the information was false. It added that its operating outlook for 2025 is solid, and that it has drawn up and is advancing incentive plans based on annual operating results and incentive criteria to safeguard employee rights and support sustainable development.
Changan emphasized that the misinformation has harmed its brand reputation and disrupted normal operations, and said it will respond in accordance with the law to acts of fabricating and spreading false information.

Gasgoo learned from multiple industry insiders close to Changan that some departments completed briefings on the incentive plan yesterday, covering the manager level. According to current information, the year-end incentive structure is 4.3 times monthly salary plus a fixed 3,000 yuan, with payouts expected to be completed by Feb. 10. The release of these specifics, in effect, corroborates Changan's statement that the "incentive plan" has moved into implementation.
As details of Changan's year-end incentives come into focus, the online debate has shifted. An employee from another automaker wrote on social media, "Two days ago I was mocking Changan; now I'm mocking myself." Many others added, "These days, having a year-end bonus at all is already something."
