Gasgoo Munich- The CAOA CHANGAN plant in Brazil—a joint venture between Changan Automobile and CAOA, the country's largest automaker—officially kicked off production on March 26, according to Gasgoo. For Avatr, Changan's premium brand, this milestone serves as a springboard to accelerate localization, streamline operations in Latin America, and amplify its regional influence.

At the launch event, the Avatr 11 took the stage alongside the Avatr 06 and 07, collectively showcasing the brand's signature design, intelligent technology, and luxury craftsmanship.
Since its debut in São Paulo in November 2025, the Avatr 11 has secured broad recognition in the local luxury segment in just four months, backed by its distinct positioning and robust performance. This early success lays a solid foundation for the brand's deeper expansion in Latin America. Leveraging the strategic partnership between Changan and CAOA, Avatr can tap into the latter's established local distribution and service networks to drive efficient localized operations.
Avatr has accelerated its global push since launching its overseas campaign in 2024. Having already entered markets such as Thailand, the UAE, and Singapore, the brand now spans four continents and more than 40 regions, with a global owner base surpassing 210,000.
Looking ahead, Avatr aims to use the Brazil plant as a pivot to further penetrate Latin America. The company plans to enter more than 80 countries and regions and establish over 700 sales channels by 2030, steadily advancing toward its goal of becoming a leading global "new luxury" smart EV brand—a testament to the global competitiveness of Chinese manufacturing.
