Shanghai, December 4 (Gasgoo.com) Changan New Energy Auto said its in-house developed strong-hybrid engine model has passed the stand test, able to save energy by up to 35%, Beijing Times said.
The engine model can power some vehicles next year. It is said the Changan Zhixiang model will be equipped with such a strong-hybrid engine. It is the first time for Chinese independent brand to make a breakthrough in the strong-hybrid field.
Changan Auto Group president Xu Liuping recently announced that the company has made outstanding achievements in strong-hybrid technology and the new engine model will go into commercial development soon.
