Chery Announces QQ Return, All-New QQ3 Electric Model to Debut on Feb 6

Gasgoo Munich - On Feb. 3, Chery Automobile officially announced the return of the Chery QQ brand. The company plans to host a "Chery QQ Night" event on Feb. 6, where it will officially unveil the all-new QQ3 model.

The returning QQ3 is an electric vehicle with a completely revamped design language. According to official data and filings from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the new car measures 4,195mm in length, 1,811mm in width, and 1,569mm in height, with a wheelbase reaching 2,700mm. It adopts a five-seat layout and is positioned as a compact EV. Compared to the original QQ—a vehicle that holds memories for a generation—the new model offers a significant upgrade in both size and space.

The new QQ3’s standout feature is its intelligent technology. It is set to feature the "AI Lingxi Smart Cabin," equipped with a 15.6-inch 2.5K central display powered by a Qualcomm 8155 chip. On the autonomous driving front, the vehicle will utilize Chery’s self-developed "Falcon 500" system, offering capabilities such as highway NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) and full-scenario parking assistance.

Regarding powertrain, the new model will be equipped with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack. Available information indicates the electric motor delivers a maximum output of 58 kW, with a top speed of 125 km/h.

The Chery QQ was once an iconic product in the Chinese automotive market. Following its 2003 debut, the first-generation model sold over 1.4 million units thanks to its approachable pricing, becoming the first car for countless consumers. This return, reimagined as an intelligent electric vehicle, signals Chery’s intent to reshape its influence as a "people's car" within the fiercely competitive small EV market. Specific pricing and detailed configurations await the official unveiling at the Feb. 6 event.
