Chery Automobile, China's largest independent auto producer in Anhui province, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Better Place, World's leading company on electric vehicle (EV) charging battery and service April.24.
The two companies will collaborate on solutions for EV switchable battery and charging net work.
This move will significantly promote industrialization and popularizing of new energy car in China, enhancing its competitiveness.
With an edge on new energy vehicle manufacturing, Chery has promoted several car modes of leading technology. Being a major provider of EV charging tech, Better Place will cooperate with Chery in areas of R&D on battery, infrastructure charging network, in an joint bid to solve tech barriers such as long charging time and short driving distance.
