Chevy Volt to be sold in eight Chinese cities

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai November 24) - The vanguard of GM's 'Green Future' marketing campaign, the Chevrolet Volt electric, will be sold in China as an import version priced at 498,000 yuan ($78,197), International Finance News reported today. The manufacturer made the announcement at the floor of the currently ongoing Auto Guangzhou 2011 exhibition.

13 dealers spread across eight cities in the country, including Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, will be the first to receive the Volt (pictured). Volt buyers will receive through personal service via their dealer to ensure no problems occur with their vehicle. Dealers can also perform free on-the-spot testing of prospective buyers' households to ensure they have suitable facilities to charge the vehicle. Members of GM's V Club, which is open to all Volt owners, also have access to a 24-hour a day dual-language service hotline.
