Shanghai, June 11 (Gasgoo.com) With the global economy slowly rebounding from the worst recession, China auto export has gradually seen a growth in the first five months of this year.
China exported 47,100 vehicles in May, up 18.45% month on month and up 95.55% year on year. In the period from January to May 2010, 190,900 vehicles were exported, an increase of 71.01% from a year earlier, according to data released by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) on June 8.
The data shows that 25,400 commercial vehicles were exported, up 54.91% m/m and up 180% y/y; 21,700 passenger vehicles were exported, down 7.20% m/m and 45.01% y/y.
In May, China's biggest own-brand carmaker, Chery Auto exported 8,053 vehicles, up 259% y/y, leading Chinese automakers in the month's exports.
In addition, the data shows that exports of the Chery, Changan, Great Wall, Dongfeng and BAIC rose 171% (to 30,100 units), 48.33% (to 23,700 units), 70.25% (to 21,900 units), 128% (to 16,800 units ) and 30.43% ( to 14,500 units) respectively, accounting for 56.02% of China's total auto exports in the first five months of this year.
