Chinese auto production is 1.68 million at the past August, sales reaches 1.65 million, which has increase more than 10% over the performance of last year did. It has remained stable increase following the former 7 months. Jie Yao, CAA vice secretary-general, holds a optimize opinion on industry situation next months.
“We shall say situation of the last 8 months is ideal. Besides, we are satisfied with the key companies in auto industry remain ideal condition. We still have “golden September and silver October” and Spring Festival at the next four months, which we are expected better situation. ”Jie Yao said.
However, auto export has not performed well enough. With the economy crisis globally, and Japanese Yen and Korean Won depreciation, Chinese auto export has taken rush. What’s worse, some developing countries like Syria and Iran are our main export destinations, but they are under political disturbance which influence our export as well. Shihua Chen, director of Industry Information Dept. of CAA said that auto companies has exported 70.6 thousand vehicle’s in August, which has decreased 11.6% over performance of last month did, and decreased 26% over last year. The situation seems become worse. Passenger car and commercial car decrease tendency is the same, both of them are suffering, although passenger car performance is better than commercial car couple of months ago.
