Mercedes-Benz sales hit record high by 2,700 units in January in China mainland and Hong Kong, up 64% year-on-year; of which sales of S series exceed 1,100 units in January.
Mercedes-Benz Group posts a global sales increase of 7% year-on-year to 77,700 vehicles in January 2007 recently, and sales of Benz model come to 73,500, a 14% increase year-on-year. Mercedes-Benz sales in Asia increased 13% year-on-year to 9,800 units.
Mercedes-Benz sales in China and Hong Kong exceeded that of Japan for the first time, making China the largest market for Mercedes-Benz.
