Gasgoo Munich- Four Chinese regulators have launched a year-long nationwide campaign targeting vehicle quality and production consistency. On August 27, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and the State Administration for Market Regulation jointly issued a notice to initiate the special action. The crackdown focuses on four key areas: production consistency, reliability, durability, and the verification of new technologies. Separately, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers issued an appeal the same day, urging the industry to reject "pseudo-innovation" and hold the line on safety.

GAC Group has responded to the crackdown by vowing not to build "fast-tracked" vehicles. The automaker opposes shortening verification cycles and emphasized that it approaches R&D and manufacturing with a long-term mindset.
On production consistency, GAC enforces a strict "do not accept, do not manufacture, do not pass on" rule for defective products at every stage of its assembly line. The process utilizes laser online detection and intelligent torque management systems, ensuring lifetime traceability for data on critical fastening points. Incoming components are subject to random inspections based on quality benchmarks, while finished vehicles undergo a three-tier review system. This ensures that every car leaving the factory meets both national mandatory standards and the company's stricter internal controls.
To ensure reliability and durability, GAC conducts full-stack, in-house testing on its "three-electric" systems (battery, motor, and control). Its Magazine Battery is designed to withstand extreme conditions like nail penetration and gunfire without smoking or catching fire, while its Quark electric drive 2.0 has earned the "High-Quality Electric Drive" certification from the China Automotive Technology and Research Center (CATARC). For whole-vehicle validation, the company employs a "Five Highs, One Mountain, One Dust" extreme testing protocol, covering frigid cold, intense heat, high altitude, and corrosive humidity. The Trumpchi Yue 7, for instance, has endured "two winters and two summers" along with millions of kilometers of road testing, completing durability trials equivalent to 500,000 kilometers.
Regarding new technology safety, GAC has established 360 quality and safety baseline standards across nine dimensions, mandating that safety takes absolute precedence in any conflict of interest. Additionally, its Xingling safety architecture features dual-redundancy designs for critical systems, catering to the safety requirements of Level 3 autonomous driving and beyond.
