Shanghai. June 13 (Gasgoo.com) German importer China Automobile Deutschland has officially started to sell China-made sport utility vehicles (SUV) CEO and UFO in Germany recently, reported Automobilwoche. And a further five models are due to be added to the line-up by the end of this year.
The CEO SUV, produced by Shuanghuan Automobile in China, has a 125 horsepower 2.4-liter petrol engine and emits 232g/km CO2. It is priced at EUR25,900 ($39,914). Another version powered by a V6 diesel will be on sale in the autumn.
Zhejiang Jonway's UFO is on sale for EUR15,990 and it comes with a two-liter 129hp petrol engine (220g/km CO2 emissions) and a 2.4-liter petrol engine developing 136hp (229g/km CO2 emissions).
The models are controversial because their appearance is similar to their rivals. The UFO looks like the Toyota RAV4 SUV and the CEO resembles the BMW X5 SUV, as earlier reports showed.
