China sells 27,700 MPVs in November, up 92.06%

Shanghai, December 22 (Gasgoo.com) China sold 27,700 multi-purpose vehicles last month, up 92.06% from a year earlier, Xinhua News last week, citing industry data.

According to statistics from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the top five best-selling MPV models in November achieved total sales of 15,500 units. They are JAC Refine, Buick GL8, Honda Odyssey, Mazda Premacy and FAW Xenia.
 
Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co (JAC) sold 4,665 units of its JAC Refine MPV last month, up from 4,106 units sold in October. Sales of Buick GL8, Honda Odyssey, Mazda Premacy and FAW Xenia came to 3,459, 3,204, 2,099 and 2,063, respectively.

In the first 11 months of the year, 217,600 MPVs were sold in the Chinese auto market, up 18.63% year on year.

In November, China's sales of passenger vehicles, including sedans, MPVs, SUVs and minivans, reached 1.04 million units, up 98.23% year on year. Sales in the first 11 months grew 49.7% to 9.23 million units.
