Shanghai. January 14 (Gasgoo.com) – Shanghai General Motors has successfully defended its No.1 position in China’s passenger vehicles market.
Shanghai GM, FAW-VW, Shanghai VW and Chery constitute the first tier of China’s passenger vehicle makers, which sold more or less than 400,000 vehicles in 2007; while Guangzhou Honda, FAW-Toyota and Dongfeng-Nissan constitute the second tier, selling between 270,000-300,000 vehicles; Beijng Hyundai, Changan Ford and Geely become the third tier with a sales volume of 200,000 – 230,000 vehicles.
The table below shows the top sixteen passenger-vehicle makers in Chinese market in 2007.
