With years key problem tackle on development and technical aggregation, China's new energy autos are entering a big market from laboratory. Many domestic automakers, such as SAIC, FAW, DFAC, Chana, Chery, Geely, BYD and Great Wall Motor, are making great efforts to research and develop new energy autos.
In 2009, many policies, such as Plan on Adjusting and Revitalizing Auto Industry and Rules on Access Management of New Energy Automakers and Products, were launched and implemented. They have played active roles in advancing the development of China's new energy autos, and accelerated new energy auto market's further maturity.
Currently, on developing and manufacturing new energy autos, China's automakers have competed very fiercely.
Taking advantage of the core technology "Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery", BYD attaches great importance to the development of pure electronic autos. Its F3DM dual-mode electric auto is the first type of new energy auto independent of professional charging stations, and its E6 has represented BYD's latest development orientation in the field of new energy autos with the continuing mileage arriving 300 to 500 kilometers.
As one of the automakers that have involved in the development of new energy autos from the very beginning in China, Chery seeks for a favorable development road for new energy autos through making double breakthrough in traditional auto manufacture technology and new energy technology. As understood, at present, Chery has established sound technical systems on hybrid power and electric autos.
In the field of key components and parts, Chery has taken the lead in breaking through advanced technologies like whole auto control, and for its independently developed whole auto controller, motor driver and DCDC integration box, their cubage is only half of those developed by international professional design companies, but the control precision, reliability, service life and efficiency are higher.
Presently, there have been four types of Chery's new energy cars listed on Contents of Registered Auto Types in Demonstration and Application Project of Energy Conservation and New Energy Autos, which is issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
SAIC has input 80-odd engineers on researching hybrid power technologies, and the development field covers such three technical fields as hybrid power, alternative fuel and fuel cell.
Such automakers as FAW, Dongfeng Motor and Chana have also established relatively consummated strategies on developing new energy autos. Chana's Jiexun HEV hybrid power auto and Geely's dual-fuel auto have rolled off the production line.
However, to achieve the industrial target proposed in Plan on Adjusting and Revitalizing Auto Industry, the development road is never smooth. In the future development, automakers shall put in full efforts on maintaining product consistency, what's more, the support and drive of policies is also important. Besides such two points, another key in expediting the development of new energy autos is to cultivate the consumptive environment.
Good news is coming in one by one. In the end of December, 2009, the domestically largest charging station for electric autos was initiated in Shenzhen. It is invested and constructed by China Southern Power Grid. What has been put into use in the first batch involves two charging stations and 134 charging spots for electric autos. The charging stations for electric autos are established successively. It has been considered the start of the charging stations going to the commercialization.
It is because the supporting policies on developing new energy autos become clear, it's reasonable for us to believe that China's new energy autos will enter a brand-new development stage.
