Gasgoo.com (Shanghai May 11) - Daimler announced Chinese sales of Mercedes-Benz vehicles in April hitting 17,180 units, auto.163.com reported today. The result represents 56 percent growth for the company from last year. Daimler also reported having sold 61,170 vehicles from January to April, 77 percent more than the amount sold last year.
Mercedes is not the only manufacturer to see such successful results, with rival luxury automobile manufacturers Audi and BMW also maintaining steady positive sales growth in the country of 21.2 and 67.2 percent, respectively. The figures are in stark contrast with domestic manufacturers, who have only managed slight growth at best.
