So what type of car do Chinese customers want most? According to statistics, more than 1 million SUVs were sold in January to October of this year, more than double during the same time last year. That's the biggest spike among all types of cars.
SUVs also make up almost half of imported cars from January to August. One dealer says more than 40 percent of his customers have asked for SUV information. Yet no international or domestic automakers have launched new SUV models since last January.
