The event, attended by global logistics giants DSV and Maersk, highlighted Windrose's historic achievement: the world's first publicly verified 500km+ journey by a zero-emission heavy-duty truck hauling a 64-ton double-trailer combination.
During trials conducted over the past year, Windrose's electric trucks completed a 590km round trip between Copenhagen and Aarhus, Denmark's second-largest city, while carrying a full load of 64 tons. The vehicle demonstrated an actual single-charge range exceeding 500km, setting a global benchmark for all-electric heavy-duty trucks operating with dual trailers under real-world conditions. This milestone marks the first time an all-electric truck has achieved such endurance and payload capacity on public roads.
Founded in 2022, Windrose Technology is China's vertically integrated developer of intelligent, zero-emission heavy-duty trucks, offering bespoke solutions for global markets. The company's founder, Han Wen, a Stanford University graduate and former CSO and CFO at autonomous trucking firm Plus, brings expertise from prior roles at Bridgewater Associates and GSR Ventures.
