Gasgoo.com (Shanghai June 28) - Changan Suzuki's second production site will be set up in Chongqing, cqnews.net reported today. The new factory, which has a planned production capability of 300,000 vehicles and 300,000 engines, has been the subject of intense media scrutiny.
The 3.5 billion yuan ($539.9m) site will boost Chongqing Suzuki's annual production capacity to 500,000 vehicles upon completion. The JV has set up a planning committee to supervise construction.
