Gasgoo Munich-Nanjing Chuhang Technology Co., Ltd. has secured a production contract from a leading Chinese EV startup for its 4D satellite architecture radar solution, according to industry reports. The company will supply a complete package of hardware and software to power the intelligent driver assistance system on the automaker's new mass-production model.

Building on their existing collaboration in mass-producing 4D front and corner radars, this deal marks a significant expansion of their partnership. Chuhang Technology noted that the award validates its product performance, engineering capabilities, and delivery reliability, positioning it among the first millimeter-wave radar makers to both launch cutting-edge technology and achieve large-scale commercial deployment.
Across the industry, the rapid adoption of intelligent driving is fueling demand for perception sensors. Currently, the penetration rate of L2 driver assistance systems in passenger vehicles has surpassed 70%, while Navigate on Autopilot (NOA) adoption is nearing 35%. Thanks to all-weather detection capabilities and price points comparable to traditional millimeter-wave radars, the installation volume of 4D radars exceeded 10 million units in 2025.
Since 2026, the accelerating rollout of advanced driver assistance systems—combined with stricter mandatory national standards for automatic emergency braking (AEB) and the commercialization of L3 autonomous driving—has kept demand for high-performance 4D radars on a sharp upward trajectory.
On the technology front, vehicle electronic and electrical (E/E) architectures are shifting toward centralization. Following the path of cameras and LiDAR, 4D radars are transitioning from distributed to centralized intelligence—a shift that has given rise to satellite architecture.
Chuhang Technology first unveiled its 4D satellite architecture radar at SAECCE 2025 in October 2025, emphasizing full localization and extreme cost-effectiveness. By the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, the company had introduced a next-generation solution featuring a single-chip 8T8R MMIC and proprietary waveguide antenna. Retaining the "front-end sensing + central computing" architecture, the new system optimizes eight key performance metrics.
Founded in 2018, Chuhang Technology offers a portfolio including front, corner, in-cabin, and 4D high-precision radars. The company has integrated into the supply chains of nearly 30 global automakers, securing design wins for nearly 90 flagship models with more than 20 already in mass production. Internationally, it has obtained nearly 100 market access certifications, expanding its footprint to Germany, India, South Korea, Vietnam, and Malaysia.
