Gasgoo Munich-Comau and Omron Robotics officially signed a strategic partnership agreement on May 12. The two companies plan to combine their complementary strengths in robotics hardware, control technology, and software. They aim to expand advanced automation solutions for high-growth industries such as electronics, semiconductors, medical manufacturing, and light industrial internal logistics.

The partnership targets the manufacturing sector's rising demand for flexible, easy-to-deploy, and scalable automation systems. By integrating robotics with cutting-edge control systems and software tailored for diverse production scenarios, the companies aim to boost operational efficiency. They also seek to lower the barrier to adopting automation.
Pietro Gorlier, chief executive of Comau, noted that the move aligns with the company's strategy of expanding its solution portfolio through high-value partnerships. Olivier Welker, CEO of Omron Robotics, added that combining their complementary capabilities will empower manufacturers to respond more nimbly to market shifts.
