Gasgoo Munich-SenseTime and Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) officially signed a memorandum of understanding on June 16, according to an announcement from SenseTime. The two parties will launch a strategic partnership focused on AI computing infrastructure and the industry ecosystem, working together to advance the construction of domestic AI data centers (AIDC) in Hong Kong. The goal is to achieve a computing scale of over 40,000 PetaFLOPS by 2030, establishing the largest intelligent computing center in the city powered by domestic technology.

Designed as a critical AI infrastructure backbone for the large-model era, the project will provide high-performance, stable domestic computing power across various industries. Covering diverse scenarios—from model training and inference deployment to large-scale application—the initiative aims to accelerate the adoption of AI in Hong Kong and further cement the city's strategic position in global innovation and technology development.
Computing power is the core engine driving AI breakthroughs. This collaboration actively responds to the direction of the national "15th Five-Year Plan" and aligns with the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government's strategic push for "AI for All."
The project will proceed in phases, with the first stage expected to be completed within the year. The partners aim to build an intelligent computing center with a capacity of 40,000 PetaFLOPS by 2030. Once operational, the facility will be equipped with multiple domestic GPU clusters, forming a highly efficient and collaborative computing service system.
