German automotive parts maker Continental AG's automotive system division said it will build a 48 million eur engineering center in Shanghai as the company aims to double its sales in Asia by 2010. The center will start operation by 2009.
The engineering center composed of two facilities, a design and test lab in Yangpu District and a testing center with heavy equipment in Jiading District. The two facilities will employ 450 people by 2009.
