Gasgoo Munich- CORNEX NEW ENERGY CO., LTD. officially began production at its 70GWh lithium battery industrial park in the Xiangyang High-tech Zone. The milestone marks the transition of the planned 70GWh "super factory" from construction and equipment commissioning to full-scale operations.

The project broke ground on October 28, 2025, taking just 10 months from groundbreaking to the first product rolling off the line. Spanning 1,608 mu with a floor area of 1.05 million square meters, the facility stands as one of CORNEX's most intelligent and vertically integrated bases to date.
Focusing on the core sectors of energy storage and power traction, the facility will mass-produce high-safety, high-efficiency products for all scenarios. These include large-scale storage batteries with capacities of 100Ah, 588Ah, and 648Ah, as well as high-rate super-fast-charging traction batteries. Once fully ramped up, the plant will ship nearly 400,000 cells daily to global markets. It is projected to generate over 30 billion yuan in annual output and create more than 5,000 jobs.

Dai Deming, chairman of CORNEX, said the Xiangyang plant reached its production target two months ahead of schedule. Now operational, its high-speed flexible lines—equipped with industry-leading intelligent systems and high-precision equipment—will manufacture a new generation of proprietary products. These batteries boast advantages in large capacity, high energy efficiency, long cycle life, and high-rate performance.
