Gasgoo Munich-Huawei's Intelligent Automotive Solution BU released its Qiankun October Safe Travel Report on Nov. 3. As of Oct. 31, the Qiankun ADS had logged 17.27 billion km of cumulative assisted-driving mileage, with 1.48 billion km covered in October alone. Monthly active users accounted for 95.2% — meaning more than nine in ten equipped drivers actually engaged the system last month.

On the safety front, the average distance driven under ADS assisted control before a severe collision stands at 10.827 million km. By Huawei's benchmark, that is 6.02 times the estimated 1.8 million km for human drivers in China. When drivers take the wheel themselves in ADS-equipped cars, the figure comes to 5.782 million km — or 3.21 times the national estimate. Compared with September's readings of 9.987 million km (5.55x) and 5.856 million km (3.25x), the assisted-driving safety margin widened month-on-month, while the human-driving metric slipped slightly.
In terms of scale, Huawei Qiankun ADS deployments are projected to surpass 2 million units by September 2026, spanning more than 25 brands and over 60 models. R&D spending on assisted driving is expected to top 18 billion yuan that year. Real-time data from Huawei's website shows the cumulative assisted-driving mileage has since climbed to around 17.4 billion km, with total distance covered by equipped vehicles exceeding 48.6 billion km.
