Gasgoo Munich- Denza officially launched the N9 Flash Charge Edition on May 18. Positioned as a "technology-driven flagship SUV," the lineup introduces three trims—Flash Charge Honor, Flash Charge Excellence, and Flash Charge Flagship—with official guide prices ranging from 409,800 to 469,800 yuan.

At the launch event, Mandopop star and Denza global brand ambassador Wang Leehom took the stage. Appearing in a dual capacity as the brand's 500,000th owner and the first customer of the N9 Flash Charge Edition, his presence underscored a partnership of heavyweights.
The N9 Flash Charge Edition comes standard with BYD's second-generation Blade Battery and flash charging technology. Official figures show a pure electric range of 420 km and a combined range of 1,520 km. Charging is rapid: 10% to 70% state-of-charge (SOC) takes just 5 minutes, while 10% to 97% is completed in 9 minutes. Even in -30°C environments, charging from 20% to 97% takes only 12 minutes. Additionally, BYD has built over 6,000 flash charging stations nationwide, with plans to expand to 20,000 by year-end.
On the handling front, the new model standardizes the e³ technology platform, featuring three-motor independent drive and rear dual-motor independent steering. This setup enables a minimum turning radius of 4.65 meters, a 0-100 km/h sprint of 3.7 seconds, and a braking distance of 36.4 meters from 100 km/h. It also rides on DiSus-A dual-chamber closed-circuit air suspension, along with Road Preview 2.0 and an intelligent anti-motion sickness system.

Structurally, the Denza N9 employs a hybrid CTB (Cell-to-Body) design, achieving a torsional stiffness approaching 40,000 Nm. According to the company, the vehicle secured the highest rating in all five categories of the 2025 China Insurance Automotive Safety Index (C-IASI) evaluation. Active safety features include high-speed rollover avoidance, stability during high-speed blowouts, and crosswind resistance, alongside the 4E intelligent active safety system and accelerator pedal anti-misstep protection.
For intelligence, the car comes standard with the "God's Eye 5.0" driver-assistance system, supporting city and highway navigation on autopilot, as well as full-scenario parking (including e³ parking). The cabin features a next-generation AI smart cockpit with six-zone voice interaction, dialect recognition, and navigation or vehicle control assistants, integrating the full version of the DeepSeek large language model.
Visually, the Flash Charge Edition adds nine exterior colors, including "Dark Night Gold" and "Night Silver." Interiors build on the "Cloud Brocade White" with three new options: Agarwood Brown, Coral Red, and Amber Brown. Standard equipment includes 22-inch mirror-forged wheels, extra-wide electric side steps, and an AR projection sensing tailgate. The three-row cabin features middle seats that slide laterally and offer near-zero-gravity adjustment, with 46 storage spaces throughout and a trunk volume ranging from 351 to 1,140 liters.
Overall, the Denza N9 Flash Charge Edition delivers significant standard upgrades across charging efficiency, handling dynamics, safety, and the intelligent cockpit.
