Shanghai, December 9 (Gasgoo.com) Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Co, Dongfeng Motor's joint venture with PSA Peugeot-Citroen, has decided to launch hatchback C-Elysee, sedan C-Quatre and the new C5 next year, Beijing News reported.
The hatchback C-Elysee, a substitute of Dongfeng Citroen’s halted Fukang model, will go on sale in spring next year. The new model will be powered by a 1.6L 16V new C-Elysee engine meeting China Ⅳ standards.
The C-Quatre sedan, set to go on sale by the middle of 2009, is likely to be the middle-level sedan code-named “BX3” which will debut at the 2009 Shanghai Auto Show.
Sources said the BX3 could be perceived as C-Quatre sedan, but whether the model will be named C-Quatre is undecided yet. BX3 will share key parts with C-Quatre such as chassis, and engines. But the two models will differ in appearance.
Chinese-made C5, coming in 2.0L, 2.3L and 3.0L versions, will be on sale by the end of 2009.
