Gasgoo Munich- Dongfeng Honda sold 16,891 vehicles in August, an increase of 17.5% from July.

SUV models accounted for the majority of the growth. The CR-V sold 10,924 units, a 13.8% monthly increase, maintaining sales above the 10,000-unit mark. The HR-V recorded sales of 2,063 units, up 62.3%. Priced between 185,900 and 269,900 yuan for the CR-V and 109,900 to 125,900 yuan for the HR-V, the two models form a strategic pricing matrix.
Dongfeng Honda updated the HR-V in June with three trims. The company renamed the 240 TURBO Pro to 1.5T Pro, the 240 TURBO Max to 1.5T Max, and the 240 TURBO Jinyue to the 2026 Jinyue. All three variants removed two rear charging ports and a 12V outlet in the trunk, while styling and interiors remain unchanged. The models feature a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 134 kilowatts, paired with a CVT transmission.
August marks a transition between the industry's traditional off-peak and peak seasons. Dongfeng Honda achieved sales of 71,000 units in the first quarter, a year-on-year increase. It remains to be seen whether this double-digit growth momentum will continue into the peak season of the second half.
