Dongfeng Motor Group Co Ltd, one of China's top three automakers, said it expects 2008 sales of over 1.1 mln vehicles, compared with 949,500 in 2007.
The company booked net profit of 3.77 bln yuan in 2007 and 2.47 bln in the first half to June.
Dongfeng Motor is a local joint venture partner of Nissan, Honda and Peugeot Citroen.
