On May 18, two magnitude 5.2 earthquakes struck Liunan District in Liuzhou, followed by frequent aftershocks. The disaster has drawn concern across the nation. As a central state-owned enterprise, Dongfeng Motor is closely monitoring the situation on the ground.
The aid package combines cash with vehicles. Working with its subsidiary Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor, the automaker is contributing 1 million yuan in cash and deploying 11 rescue vehicles valued at 1.58 million yuan. These units will be dedicated to emergency operations, victim assistance, and rebuilding efforts in the quake zone.
Dongfeng Motor pledged to coordinate with Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor to mobilize immediately, fulfilling the political and social responsibilities expected of a central state-owned enterprise. The company said it will track rescue progress closely and step up its disaster relief efforts, aiming to play a constructive role in maintaining local stability.
