Visually, the NX8 embraces the family’s latest design language with a closed front fascia that signals its electrified nature. It features full-width daytime running lights and sharp headlights that echo the black trim strip on the lower bumper. Side lines are smooth, highlighted by a floating roof and hidden door handles. At the rear, a 2.4-meter full-width "Star Ring" taillight houses 2,064 OLED units.
The NX8 measures 4,870 mm long, 1,920 mm wide, and 1,680 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,917 mm.
Powertrain options include battery-electric and range-extended versions. The range-extended variant packs a 1.5-liter turbo engine generating 109 kW, paired with a 195 kW electric motor. The pure electric version offers two single-motor options: 215 kW or 250 kW. Built on an 800V silicon carbide platform, the SUV utilizes next-generation CATL lithium iron phosphate batteries and supports 5C supercharging.
With mass production underway, the NX8 is now entering its pre-launch phase, a move that will further flesh out Dongfeng Nissan’s lineup in the new-energy SUV market.
