Gasgoo.com (Shanghai September 19) - Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën's own brand vehicles will carry the Dongfeng logo, auto.sohu.com reported today, citing a statement made by Dongfeng Passenger Vehicle Company General Manager Liu Weidong. Mr. Liu added that Dongfeng Peugeot own brand vehicles will directly be incorporated into the manufacturer's Fengshen own brand and sold directly by that brand's dealership network. He made the statements at an event marking the market debut of the newest Fengshen model.
"Work on Dongfeng PSA's own brand project has already begun, but it will be until next year before any official details are publicly released," Mr. Liu said. He explains that Dongfeng would prefer that there is no long gap between the debut of the new own brand and the introduction of its first model, which is preliminarily scheduled for 2015.
