Gasgoo.com (Shanghai April 14) - Dongfeng Yueda Kia has picked a name for its upcoming own brand, autos.cn.yahoo.com reported today, citing a new registration on the State Administration for Industry and Commerce's Trademark Office official website.
The joint venture has registered the Chinese name, Huaqi, for use as an automobile brand. More information regarding the brand, including its logo and marketing strategy, is scheduled to be publicly announced at this month's Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition. Its first model, which is anticipated to be a pure electric car based on the Kia Cerato, is also scheduled to make its debut at the show.
