Increasingly more Dutch citizens are purchasing their car in Germany rather than in the Netherlands. The same goes for lease drivers. This makes sense as, for example, one can already save several thousand euros on a mid-range car. For a top-of-the-range car, this can even add up to tens of thousands of euros.
Those who choose to import a car from Germany into the Netherlands will have to deal with quite a bit of paperwork. A company called Auto Import Germany takes this task upon itself and budgets the savings into the monthly leasing fees.
