The companies also signed a joint development agreement for the first phase of their compound robot project. This establishes a dual-track mechanism focused on long-term strategy and near-term execution, signaling that Openmind's general technology base has moved beyond platform construction into engineering verification for vertical PCB applications.
Established in 2024 by EFORT Intelligent Robot, the National Advanced Manufacturing Industry Investment Fund, and the Wuhu Science and Technology Innovation Group, Openmind adheres to an "Openmind" philosophy. The firm focuses on developing and industrializing a general technology foundation for intelligent robots. By leveraging its Openmind OS, Modou IDE, and Dayan data platform, it decouples complex capabilities into standardized atomic skills and open interfaces — aiming to reduce the barrier to robot adoption and drive intelligent upgrades across industries.
Founded by Xu Yong, Rhinorobo's core team spun out of Shizhigao — a veteran player in PCB automation. The group brings deep expertise in PCB manufacturing processes, material logistics, and production line takt times. Currently transitioning from an equipment supplier to a system solutions provider for "embodied intelligence in industrial settings," Rhinorobo is preparing to launch its new Wuhu plant. Serving as the company's global headquarters and smart manufacturing base, the facility will support large-scale deliveries.
